The Merchant of Venice

This modern adaptation of The Merchant of Venice explores contemporary themes of finance, identity, and sustainability. My studio-based set recreates a Venetian canal view, designed specifically for the scene where Lorenzo and Jessica escape, blending romantic atmosphere with visual storytelling. The project reimagines characters and settings to reflect today’s world while staying true to Shakespeare’s core narrative.
